Evolution Of Rock And Roll
The term “Rock and Roll” was coined by a Cleveland’s DJ Alan Free in 1951. Rock and roll evolved out of blues. It previously developed out of rhythm and blues. Rock music was initially distinguished by electric guitar’s incorporation.
In the mid1950’s, electric bass or string bass guitar was introduced. It then became one of the main factors of a rock band. Full drum sets was also added so to intensify and diversify the sound. It may be surprising but the earliest forms of rock also include piano and saxophone.
There’s a contemporary movement reintroducing piano to replace electric keyboard sound. Evolution of rock and roll has allowed splintered genres gearing toward variation of sounds. Because of the perceived loudness and newness of the emerging rock and roll, it was absorbed by youngsters generally making artists contue directing their music to the youngsters. This also means overriding the racial boundaries for there are many DJs proclaiming it as a new music kind.
